This week, we have introduced Year 5 & 6 to their new text, 'Hamlet', by William Shakespeare. We set the scene that a murder had taken place, and the children had to work as detectives to work out a motive for each character to kill King Hamlet, as well as questions they would ask them during a 'hot seating' activity.

We supported Children’s Mental Health week, on Friday 9th February. It was great to see the children expressing themselves in their choice of clothing for the day.
We had a special Worship on Friday to say goodbye to Mrs Carvill, who has been with us at All Souls’ for more than 30 years. The school community joined together to sing and celebrate her time at All Souls'.
Thank you for all your care that you have given to every child, and member of staff, that has had the pleasure of knowing you. We are all so sad to see you go, but we all wish you a well deserved and happy retirement.

This week in English, Penguins have been using the 'show don't tell' technique to hook the reader and expand their imagination.
We have had a very busy week in Early Years this week! We have visited the library, used wax resist to make wintery pictures, learnt about how important resilience is and learnt all about birds in winter time.

You are invited to come along to an informal cuppa and chat with me, your Family Liaison Officer, Louise Allon. Coffee mornings are open to parents/carers of pupils in all classes. They offer a chance to have a chat with me, to meet other parents/carers, make new friendships and have that connection with your child’s school.
It would be lovely to see you at our coffee mornings held from 8:30-10:00am in the school hall on the dates below. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided, along with a warm place and a friendly smile!
